AP People – Tim Williams

Tim WilliamsTim Williams joined Atlantic Partnership (AP) in January 2008 and is AP’s Advisor in London. He is responsible for a variety of projects, including expanding the breadth of panelists and guests at AP events and seminars, and developing new program ideas.

Aside from his work with AP, Tim is a Policy Advisor at the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) on Aerospace Defence and Homeland Security, working with senior industrialists on defense industrial policy and security market issues. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and, prior to joining SBAC, was Head of the European Security Programme at the Institute specializing in EU defense initiatives, NATO policy and operations and missile defense. He previously worked for the Conservative Party, focusing on NATO and European security matters.

Tim also has lectured widely on European defense issues, including at the NATO School and Wilton Park and to groups from the US Air War College and the Norwegian National Defence College. He has contributed to a variety of publications and media outlets including Newsnight, Sky News, BBC Breakfast News and The World at One.
